New titles by best-selling authors take up the majority of places on our list this month, rather than the books-into-movies heavyweights which often take out top spots. You might've noticed that earlier this week I posted the Top 5 most requested DVDs during August.  I thought it'd be a nice idea to make this a regular monthly posting for DVDs, fiction, nonfiction, kids and teen titles.  If nothing else it's interesting to see what your fellow library-goers are enjoying.  It might also give you some ideas for what to read/see next.  So...enjoy our 'Top 5 most requested fiction titles for August' list :)

Profound and moving words :) I'm curious about what others watch and read for a couple of reasons - 1) it's always a case of trash and treasure and 2) I'm inherently nosey and constantly looking for something else to read/watch. I quite happily ask our customers and staff why they've chosen a particular title and, more often than not, it sparks some sort of interest and/or inspiration on my part to do the same. With that in mind, this is a list of the top 5 most requested DVDs of August.
