In 2010 we - Danielle and Tosca - began to talk more and more about creating a Manukau Libraries blog. The end result is much more than we ever imagined it could be. I don't mind admitting that back at the start we weren't even sure we'd have an audience. We thought this was just going to be about library books. And it is. It's also been an opportunity to share how much books influence a large part of who we are, and just how much they can change lives. And we are aware, everyday, of just how incredibly lucky we are that others want to read about that, too. We thought this would be a wonderful opportunity for you to find out a little bit more about the people who update this blog. Starting, at this point in time, with Tosca .
Tosca - the basic facts: Wellington born, South Auckland raised, New Zealand Māori, one of nine children.I love, and live for, books. In them I am a myriad of different people in new worlds and different times. I am the villain, I am the superhero, I am the heroine. I am forever learning. I am constantly amazed. And, thanks to public libraries (and the internet), I am never - physically or virtually - without a book.
I lovelovelove the fact that three days a week I get to jump on here and talk, randomly or purposefully, about our books, CDs and/or DVDs. Between editing some of our eNewsletters, posting to a couple of other blogs we have, and personal reading/listening/watching I am up to my eyeballs in goodies and treasures. And so many of them generate the most hilarious lists. (In my head, anyway). It is my *absolute pleasure* to babble endlessly about it all for your entertainment. You'll find that I over share lots about romance novels in general, and my family in particular. (All interspersed with weird interjections about life, New Orleans and chocolate).
