List by Karalisa

"I say – this has boiled up into quite an adventure, hasn’t it?"
- Julian from 'Five on a hike together' by Enid Blyton

Enid Blyton captivated my childhood with her Famous Five series. These books are almost a must - and a great starting point - for any child interested in adventure/detective stories. These are just five of the titles that I read and re-read. You too will be left wanting to own your very own island!

Five go down to the sea - book 12 / Enid Blyton

Five have a wonderful time - book 11 / Enid Blyton
The Famous Five are on holiday in horse-drawn caravans - and they have discovered a ruined castle nearby. However, the castle isn't empty - the Famous Five has seen a desperate face at the tower window. Who is hiding in the castle?

Five go off to camp - book 7 / Enid Blyton
Spook-trains in the dead of the night! They seem to vanish into thin air- where do they go? The famous five follow the tracks and discover a very unusual underground destination!
