Top 5 most requsted teen graphic novels series for May 2010

Today's list is courtesy of Debra who is one of our Collection Services Librarians. Debra is the fantastic person who orders for our teen collections. And a wonderful job she does! So Debs - here's your suggested 'Top 5 most requested teen graphic novels series for May 2010' :)

Naruto / Masashi Kisimoto
Naruto is a ninja-in-training with a need for attention, a knack for mischief, and sealed within him, a strange, formidable power. His antics amuse his instructor Kakashi and irritate his teammates, intense Sasuki and witty Sakura, but Naruto is serious about becoming the greatest ninja in the village of Konohagakure! In another world, ninja are the ultimate power - and in the village of Konohagakure live the stealthiest ninja in the world. But twelve years ago Konohagakure was attacked by a fearsome threat - a nine-tailed fox demon which claims the life of the Hokage, the village champion. Today, peace has returned, and a troublemaking orphan named Uzumaki Naruto is struggling to graduate from the Ninja Academy. His goal: to become the next Hokage. But unknown to Naruto and his classmates, within him is a terrifying force.

In this screwball romantic comedy, a poor girl at a rich kids' school ends up working for the school's swankiest club-- and gets mistaken for a boy!

One piece / Eiichiro Oda
As a child, Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer "Red-Haired" Shanks. Now, Luffy is grown up and sets out to sea in a rowboat, in search of "One Piece," the greatest treasure in the world! But is Roronoa Zoro, the "pirate hunter," a friend or a foe?

How about "The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, Gulliver's Travels or "The Merchant of Venice". These are my all time favorite novels.
